The New Account can be access on the toolbar in the Home or Trading tab by simply clicking on the New Account icon

Setting up a brokerage account in Trader68 is very straightforward and easy - even if you do not have your brokerage account already in place. Press Next to proceed to the next panel.

This panel (Figure 2) displays the all the various Live, Simulated and Broadcast accounts available in Trader68. Select Interactive Brokers and press Next to continue.

In this panel, you can download the Trader Workstation Software (TWS) by clicking the Take Me There button if you do not already have it installed.
If you already have TWS installed continue down the step-by-step to setup your account. To setup a free demo account with Interactive Brokers simply press the Use Demo Account button. To setup your own Interactive Brokers account (real or paper/simulated trading) follow these simple steps:
1. Account #
The Account # is only required if you are adding a Financial Advisor Account OR if you are managing multiple Interactive Broker Accounts in Trader68.
2. Type
The Type dropdown indicates what type of account you are adding; whether it is a Real Trading or Paper Trading account. When you select the Use Demo Account button it automatically selects Paper Trading account.
3. Port #
The Port # field indicates the port that Trader68 will communicate with Trader Workstation through. Port 7496 is the default port, but can be changed in Trader Workstation. If you have more than one Interactive Brokers account, each account will require its own unique Port #. See Configuring Trader Workstation API
4. Username
The Username field indicates the user account that you use to log into Trader Workstation. This field is optional, but for Trader68 to re-establish communications with Trader Workstation in the event of disconnection it is required.
5. Password
The password field indicates the user account password that you use to log into Trader Workstation. This field is optional, but for Trader68 to re-establish communications with Trader Workstation in the event of disconnection it is required.
