The Safeguards Tab allows you to add “safety measures” to your Portfolio and/or individual Assets.

 

o     Monitor Market Hours

The Monitor Market Hours activates the settings for Signals Outside Market Hours and Exit position and cancel pending orders Safeguards.

·      Signals Outside Market Hours

The Signals Outside Market Hours indicates whether to “Process” or “Ignore” orders outside of the Monitor Market Hours range.

·      Exit position and cancel pending orders

The Exit position and cancel pending orders checkbox indicates whether to force exits and/or pending orders to cancel x-minutes before the market close.

o     Order Confirmation

The Order Confirmation dropdown menu offers several options for confirming automated trade orders with the default setting to None.

·      None

The None option indicates that no confirmation is needed for automated trade orders issued to Trader68.

·      New Entries

The New Entries option indicates that confirmation is required for any new entries (e.g. Long or Short orders) automated trade orders issued to Trader68.

·      New Entries and Increases

The New Entries and Increases option indicates that confirmation is required for any new entries (e.g. Long or Short orders) and/or Increases automated trade orders issued to Trader68.

·      All Position Changes

The All Position Changes option indicates that confirmation is required for all position changes issued to Trader68.

·      Position Changes and New Stops

The Position Changes and New Stops option indicates that confirmation is required for all position changes and new stop orders issued to Trader68.

·      All Actions

The All Actions option indicates that confirmation is required for all order types issued to Trader68.

o     Maximum entry orders allowed per day

The Maximum entry orders allowed per day checkbox indicates to limit the number of entry orders issues to x per day.

o     Ignore entry signals older than

The Ignore entry signals older than checkbox indicates to ignore signals older than x-minutes.

o     Monitor Bid Ask Spread

The Monitor Bid Ask Spread checkbox option enabled allows Trader68 to ignore entries while the spread is over x dollars/ticks or percentage.

 

What Do I Do Next?

When you are finished making changes to any dialog in Trader68, it requires the user to press the Save button located at the top of the dialog window. However, note that any changes on this dialog will not occur unless the Save button is pressed.
